Autumn greetings! Just like getting training in CPR, you never know when you might be called upon to administer epinephrine to save a life. Your Allergy Advocacy Association would like to invite all interested parties to a FREE training seminar concerning administration of epinephrine in an anaphylaxis emergency. Our first session will be Monday, October 22nd from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at St. John Fisher College. Dr. Shahzad Mustafa will present our new training program, approved by New York State’s Department of Health. Dr. Mustafa joined the Division of Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology at the Rochester General Medical Group in July 2009. He is a member of various national organizations, including the American College of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).
Due to limited seating, we’re asking for reservations. Please respond at your earliest convenience by contacting us here, sending a note to Janet Goldman or calling us at 585-319-6848. We’d appreciate your spreading the word with teachers, coaches, scout leaders, day care providers or anyone else who works with kids.
Here is a reminder of an important volunteer research opportunity:
If you are pregnant or just had a baby, The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Allergy and Immunology at the University of Rochester is looking for a study participant just like you! For more information please call 585-275-8991or sign up here.
Have a wonderful autumn season,
