In The Community

At our booth at events like health fares, legislative action days and sporting events, we invite visitors to share the latest information on research into allergies and anaphylaxis as well as ways to manage allergies for families. We also discuss how the community can help with local activism and legislation.

Gala Awards Dinner 2018

On Thursday, November 15th 2018 at ARTISAN Works in Rochester NY our association hosted our very first fundraising event. All proceeds went towards supporting our allergy awareness outreach programs in western NY.

Albany, May 2018

On May 16th the Allergy Advocacy Association, Food Allergies Research Education and activist family members in the allergy community joined NYS Senator Kemp Hannon, NYS Assemblyman Tom Abinanti in support of the Generic Epinephrine Bill. The bill relates to the substitution of brand name epinephrine auto-injectors with generic epinephrine auto-injectors.

Asthma and Allergy Network 30th Anniversary Celebration

During the first week of May the Allergy Advocacy Association attended the Allergy and Asthma Network 30th anniversary conference and awards dinner in Washington DC. Jon Terry was honored with an Outstanding Patient award for his work with the Allergy Advocacy Association.
