Elijah Silvera's Parents Talk with Fox 5
Fox 5 News spoke with Dina and Tom Silvera about the death of their severely food allergic son, Elijah, who died at his day care because the care plan they had in place wasn't followed. Allergy Advocacy Association was proud to join the Silvera family in Albany in 2018 to pass Elijah's Law, so this won't happen again.

Allergy Advocacy Association and Food Allergies Research and Education (FARE) continued our ongoing partnership for Legislative Action Day in Albany on May 6, 2018, where we encouraged the Legislative branch to pass the Elijah's Law and Gio's Law, On Assembly Update, Assemblymember Thomas J. Abinanti interviewed Dr. Kirsi Jarvinen-Seppo of the Univesity of Rochester Medical Center, and Jennifer Jobrack of FARE about generic epinephrine legislation that would allow pharmacists to provide less expensive generic epineprine without contacting the prescribing physician. He then interviewed Dina & Tom Silvera in support of Elijah's Law that would require the state to develop anaphylactic policies for child care centers.
